I met Katie years ago up at Pine Rose Cabins on the day of her sister Jami’s wedding to Taylor. When she reached out to me on Instagram to inquire about her own wedding day I was so excited! I love getting to work with the same wonderful families again and again. We ventured up to the canyon in Yucaipa for Katie and Emmanuel’s engagement session and spent an afternoon frolicking in the tall grass and wildflowers. That gorgeous golden sunlight and natural glow made for a beautiful session of these two love birds. How stunning is that dress too, Katie sent me so many dress photos during her hunt for the perfect one and I am so glad she landed on this one. The light blue grey gown was flowey and sparkly and all the right kinds of elegant!
From the couple:
Emmanuel and I met at church. We serve in the worship team together. When we started talking, he told me he was I was romantically interested in me and I told him, in the nicest way possible, that I was not interested in him that way, I was not attracted to him and I was never going to date him, so he should quit before he starts pursuing me because I didn’t want to break his heart. He very calmly replied, “we’ll see.” So time went by and he became one of my good friends. We started talking in January of 2016. That February, he sent me flowers in the mail… he sent me flowers every month and still continues to send me flowers every month. One night, we were talking , and I rattled off a list of musicals that I wanted to see. I love the theatre and heads a list of all my bucket list musicals. Our first date was in June of 2019. He took me see one of my favorite musicals that I had never seen love. It was Oklahoma.
From that point on, we spent a lot of time together. Finally in November of 2016 I decided that I was ready to date him. He was so patient and persistent through this process.. we dated for about a year when we started talking about marriage. He proposed on March 13, 2019. It was funny because he didn’t really ask me to marry him. He told me “Let’s get married” he said He told me we were gong to get married and didn’t ask me because it took me long enough to figure out to date him, he wasn’t going to chance me saying no to marrying him.
I knew he was “the one” because of the way he loves me. He is the most kind, considerate, selfless person I know. He always puts me first and cares for me beyond what I ever thought was possible. He is so patient and has the most beautiful heart for service. We share the same faith, passion and commitment to serve in our church and our community. He is the most perfect partner I could have ever imagined.
My sister was the one who found out venue. She was married there a few years ago. I instantly fell in love with the mountain venue. I always wanted to get married in a beautiful outdoor setting and Pine Rose met all my expectations. It is romantic, whimsical, intimate and beautiful! I cannot wait to say I do in the most beautiful mountain setting!
I’m most excited to make my best friend my husband! Being his forever is what I most look forward too. I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with the person I love most in this world! I can’t wait to share this special moment with all my friends and family!
