If you can imagine stepping into a fairytale book and being surrounded by all things whimsical and romantic, you would marvel at the beauty that this couple’s wedding day inspired! Adriana and Sean’s romantic Midsummer nights dream themed wedding was beyond magical to say the least. The bride hand made flower chandeliers to decorate their reception space, and had a DIY  station where guests could pick out their own flower crown and get fancy. I loved every little detail, and Adriana had thought of everything. As a designer herself, Adriana’s style was so unique and fashionable. Her gown had a fitted lace boho vibe with delicate beaded detailing. Her bridesmaids all wore mismatched floral patterned gowns in a variety of pastel colors. Sean rocked a stunning deep blue velvet tuxedo and the classic bow tie to compliment it.

Pine Rose Cabins is a rustic outdoor wedding venue up in Lake Arrowhead, nestled into the forest of Twin Peaks it was the perfect backdrop for thier fairy garden style wedding. Twinkle lights danced above them through the night as they celebrated with their family and friends and twirled around the dance floor under the stars. The sound of frogs in the ponds around the venue added to the whimsy of it all.

All around the ceremony space there were beautiful handmade signs decorated with delicate butterflies and flowers. How pretty is this sign in table? That decor was on point! When I arrived to the bridal suite, Adriana handed me a box of heaven…… well, heavenly wedding details to be exact! She had a whimsical almost Lord of the Rings styled wedding invite suite. Combined with butterflies and flowers it was quite fun to style! Can we talk about that engagement ring? Adriana wanted something unique with Safires in it, and I think Sean really delivered!I just loved styling all her beautiful details, from the glittery gold socks to the polaroid print from their rehearsal dinner. I love when brides lets their girls chose their own gowns and even mix and match them. These soft pastel florals made for the perfect combination of colors for this wedding.Have you ever seen such cute socks? They are from Etsy and were a gift to the bride. I loveeeeee the golden stars! What was the highlight of your wedding day, the best part for each of you? Adriana– My favorite part of the wedding is when Sean read his vows to me during our ceremony. My other highlight would have to be hearing everyone’s speeches during the reception. It was so nice to hear everyone’s love for us. Sean- Best part hands down was watching my beautiful wife come walking down the aisle.  I’m a big softy deep down and had to fight to keep from tearing up at the altar.

How did you meet? Sean and I met through my girlfriend from college. She had started dating Sean’s roommate and asked if I wanted to come hang out with them one Friday night. Needless to say we hit it off and the rest is history! : )
How did you know she/he was the one? Somehow the next morning after we met, I knew Sean would be the father of my children. I didn’t quite understand at the time, but as time went on our relationship was effortless and fulfilling. I would say for me, when we moved in together after dating for 2.5 years I knew getting married would be our next adventure. I believe Sean knew when we went to Lake Tahoe for 4th of July (After 7 months of dating). He had swim to the bottom of the lake like a wild man, and ruptured his eardrum. I immediately started taking care of him and drove us home that night (8 hour drive!) with him in the back seat, laying down and sleeping the whole way home haha

How did he propose?  Sean had planned a road trip up north to San Francisco for us, and as soon as we got to the hotel and settled in- it happened! I was fresh out of the shower, hadn’t even brushed my hair yet and he had me come over and look out the window to see how beautiful the sunset was. I was grumpy and still wet from the shower, and as I look over, he was on one knee! A couple of days later, we continued down the coast, staying at the Madonna Inn and then the Barcara in Santa Barbara, where Sean had set up a surprise visit from our besties.
Why did you choose your venue?  For me, it had to be the forest. Growing up the forest was always my haven and happy place. I went to a wedding at Pinerose back in 2011 and knew somehow I would get married there. Just had to find the right guy : )
What was your floral inspiration?  My floral inspiration was bohemian wildflowers. I didn’t want any of the bouquets or centerpieces to match- wild flowers, greenery, unkept and organic. Heavy English garden influence and naturally- A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

What was the theme/colors/concept for your wedding?  A Midsummer Night’s Dream meets bohemian Art Nouveau! It was my dream to be able to take our guests on an intimate journey in the woods to eat, drink and be merry. Colors evolved as I put things together and became more of a mis matched floral prints with a dusty blue presence. Soft and romantic.

Why did you choose Whimsie Studios to photograph your wedding day?   This was a no brainer for us! We loved your soft, artistic touch and felt you would be able to capture the “whimsie” of our theme.
What was your wedding day photoshoot experience like? Fantastic! It was a more choatic day than I had anticipated but you all made it easy, and kept it moving. Managing that many people to give us what we wanted was awesome!
