Ana and Adam’s wedding day at the Hidden Creek Lodge at Pine Rose Cabin’s in Lake Arrowhead was so romantic and filled with fun moments! While the venue is absolutely stunning on its own, Ana’s decor and details really enhanced all the beauty of the forest and brought such a romantic touch to the site. She filled the space with elegant flowers of peaches and blush and ivory and golden touches to add a bit of whimsy.
I love styling wedding invitations so much! It allows me to get super creative with flowers and rings and details and create something beautiful for the couples wedding album!
How did you meet?
On a night out on 2nd street in Long Beach, Adam and I met for the first time at the bar top of a sports bar called Legends. Small talk started over ordering the same drinks and lead into full blown conversations about life experiences, work, school, and of course our mutual love for cats. We were both definitely interested in each other and those conversations continued throughout the night and lead to endless hours of texting until we soon after, met again.
How did you know she/he was the one?
My love for Adam hit me really hard and really fast. We became very comfortable with each other fairly quickly and we soon realized how great we were together as companions. The man really does feel like my other half. I can go on and on in this response but to answer this in the most simplest way, and also in the most cliche way, I JUST KNOW. We have been glued to the hip since we became a couple, we laugh a million times a day, we’re the same level of dorkiness and we effortlessly enjoy each others company. He completes me in so many ways and I literally think about how lucky I am everyday since I’ve been with him. He’s intelligent, generous, successful, handsome, understanding, hilarious, witty, trustworthy, and down to earth. It truly feels like were meant to be together.
How did he propose?
Adam planned a trip to Catalina for his birthday weekend many months prior to his actual birthday. He told me to mark my calendar and the tickets have already been purchased. It was supposed to be a casual summer day replicating our first getaway together as couple to Catalina back in 2015. We rented a golf cart, stopped at a look out point and as we admired the view and took a few photos, he reaches in his backpack and starts with “this weekend isn’t just about my birthday..” and pulls out the box. He continues with some very sweet words, gets on his knee and asks me to marry him. The surprises continued as he coordinated with close family and friends to meet us in Catalina the next day. I was in complete shock. I screamed with excitement the whole rest of the day looking at my gorgeous ring.
Why did you choose your venue?
A friend of mine went to a wedding at Pine Rose and posted pictures on Instagram just around the same time I was searching for venues. Once I looked into Pine Rose, I was hooked. Showed Adam and so was he. We love being outdoors and love the ambiance of the venue. Added bonus that Pine Rose makes it so easy to plan a wedding and we definitely took that into account considering how busy we both are!
Why did you chose Whimsie Studios to photograph your wedding day?
When I looked through the photographer books at Pine Rose, the only book that called out to me was from Whimsie Studios. If I were to be a photographer I would want my style of shooting to be just like theirs. So beautiful, romantic, bright, sophisticated and delicate. Just beautiful all around! I was praying they would be available for our wedding day!
What was your engagement photoshoot experience like?
Our engagement shoot experience couldn’t have gone any better. Sadi had two locations picked out and they were both so breathtaking! She took her time with us and we didn’t feel rushed in the process. This was also our very first professional photo shoot and considering how smoothly Sadi made it, it felt like it was our 50th!
What did you like most about working with me?
Sadi was absolutely amazing. I was initially worried that we would be terrible to work with since Adam and I are not very natural in front of the camera. I mean, our go to pose is smiling and stiffly standing next to each other! Sadi guided us so effortlessly throughout the entire shoot. She went through a variety of poses, easily described what to do next, she even moved strands of hair off of my face when the wind blew them in the wrong direction! It was very evident that she knew exactly what she was doing and she was very meticulous and determined in getting great shots. We felt so comfortable and happy to know we were in the right hands.
What are you most excited for on your wedding day?
First and foremost, to marry Adam. He has been my rock and best friend for the past few years and it would be an honor to call him my husband. It’s also an added bonus that my complicated last name of Odvitovic would officially change to a much easier last name of Bishop! Haha. We are excited to celebrate our love for one another at an amazing venue with our family and friends and create beautiful memories that will last a lifetime! It also makes me super excited to know we will have an amazing photographer to capture them for us 🙂
