Emily and Jeremy’s romantic wedding at Pine Rose Cabins Hidden Creek lodge in Arrowhead was a perfect fall event. They tied the knot under a canopy of forest trees beside the most beautiful brooke and surrounded by loved ones. We enjoyed every minute of it, from capturing the anxious getting ready story, to their love filled ceremony, to the wild reception dance party under the California stars. Emily wore a gorgeous lace gown by Martina Liana and Jeremy was a handsome groom in his navy blue suit.We originally met in highschool. We were good friends and had secret crushes on one another but never knew. We later reconnected in our early 20’s through Facebook and the rest is history! My family is SUPER important to me and Jeremy instantly fit right in and clicked with every single one of them – my wild and crazy siblings, niece, nephews, cousins. All of them. And most importantly, my parents adore him! Jeremy’s Answer: I knew it the first time I went on a vacation to the river with Emily’s family! They were all so fun and I was able to be myself. I fit in, not just with Emily, but with her whole family. I felt like I could be myself with all of them and they accepted and loved me.
Jeremy has a lot of project vehicles and frequently asks Emily for a hand in the garage. One day he called her into the garage to help with a wire “stuck” in his truck engine. He got under the truck, wiggled a wire, and asked her to pull on it. She pulled and said, “Yep, it’s stuck.” Jeremy insisted that she keep pulling. She yanked it out and there was a shop rag tied to the end. He asked what it was and she joked, “Looks like you have a sock in your engine!” Not cooperating, Emily tossed the “rag” aside and looked back into the engine. When she turned back around, Jeremy was on one knee with a ring – which had been wrapped in the shop rag! It was a total surprise!
We found our venue on The Knot and it was love at first site! I wanted something wild and free, and non-traditional! The colors were navy and “sangria” – we wanted colors that really popped against the neutral background.
When we toured Pine Rose, our guide set out some photo albums for us to look at while we were waiting in the lobby. We both started flipping through them. I looked at Jeremy and said, “Whoever did this one is our person!” He said, “No way, check out this one!” Our guide laughed and said, “Well they are both Whimsie so I guess Sadi is your girl!”
We were running a bit behind schedule so I felt stressed right before the ceremony, but Sadi helped me relax and made it fun! You were fun and made us both feel at ease, but you also kept my tipsy groomsmen in check and made sure we stayed on schedule and got all of our pictures!
The DJ surprised us at the end. He played our song from the ceremony for our final dance and edited in our vow exchange – it had everyone in tears. It was the perfect way to end the best day!
