I must say in five years of being a professional wedding photographer, I have made so many friends who started out as clients, and we just clicked and became more friends then anything. Jenny and Nathan are one of my many wonderful friends, I love chatting with them, spending their wedding day together celebrating their love for each other, and seeing them blossom into a beautiful family! I has such a wonderful time being a part of their memories, and I can’t wait until they have kiddos so I can be a part of capturing those moments for them as well! Hint Hint guys!!!
Their day started out in sunny Highland California where they got ready at the base of the Big Bear mountains just a couple of blocks away. We then headed over to their Church for a beautiful traditional Catholic wedding ceremony. They said their I do’s and we were off again to the wedding reception venue, Tukwet Canyon Golf Club in Beaumont CA. When we arrived Jenny and Nathan had a beautiful array of rustic wedding details, a giant treat table, an awesome wedding cake and signature drinks to make your mouth sing! It was such a fun night and they ended it in the most fun way, with a lightsaber grand exit! Check it out and enjoy!
Has anyone seen “Bridesmaids”??Super hero groomsman are my favorite, wouldn’t you agree?
Jenny and Nathan made quite the grand entrance into their wedding reception, with all their family and friends cheering them on they started their first dance. This was definitely the yummiest part of their wedding, check out that Treat table, with all the goodies you heart desires. They had chocolate covered marshmallows, cake pops, cupcakes, candy and more. Jenny chose a rustic style for her wedding decor and her treat table bags were little burlap sacks, such a cute idea!
I can’t get enough of this adorable wedding cake, Jenny and Nathan did a traditional white wedding cake with a fun Mr and Mrs. topper and a little batman sneaking out of the bottom. Atop the cake was a Leah and Luke topper, but the best part was the grooms cake. A single their star wars cake with all the trimmings.
How we met….
We met at a friends birthday party on a rainy day in March of 2006. As she walked through the door I knew I had to get to know her because she was so beautiful. We were both shy at first but eventually worked our ways accross the room to one another. We danced, laughed and flirted all through the night. The next week we saw each other again and found out we only lived two blocks away from each-other and soon became boyfriend and girlfriend. The rest as they say is history.
How we got engaged…
It was a warm spring day in April. Jenny was headed to Ponte winery in Temecula with Erica. Erica had told Jenny they were going to a party for her boss. When they arrived they were greeted by the manager. He got them some wine and directed them to where the “party” was supposed to be. There was tables set up but no one was there. He invited them to wait for the rest of the guest and locked the front door behind him which freaked Jenny out. As they were waiting I surprised her from around the corner, got down on one knee and told her that she is the love of my life and I want to spend the rest of my life with her. She said Yes of course with tears in her eyes!
Our wedding day..
Our wedding was nothing short of a dream. Dress of lace and a suit of grey. Her looking absolutely gorgeous and him getting weak in the knees just at a small glimpse of her. Hints of burlap, lace, and coral around the landscape of the hall. The moment was filled with smiles and tears when we said I Do. Family, friends and god were definitely present during this beautiful day even spirits of people not able to be present. From the first dance to the cha cha slide, to the garter toss the reception was bursting with energy and excitement. The grand exit was a memorable moment with light sabers lighting the way for the new Mr & Mrs. Peterson. It was a day we will never forget.
