The start to our wedding season this year has been so incredible, we have gotten to work with so many wonderful couples so far and I can’t wait to share all their beautiful images! Jessica and Randy’s wedding was no exception. Not only did they have gorgeous details but they brought along the cutest little pup to be their ring bearer and steal the show!!!! These two sure know how to host an emotional event too, we were all crying along as Jessica walked down the isle and Randy shed tears. They are the sweetest people and I am so honored to know them both. Jessica and Randy we wish you all the love and joy this world has to offer!

Randy and I met through friends of friends. My best friend was in a wedding and I attended some of the bridal events with her. The brides future sister in law was in the wedding, who’s husband is Randy’s best friend. Apparently Randy was over at their house looking at pictures from the bridal shower and saw me in a picture. He asked his best friends wife if I was single. She the. reached out to Allie, my best friend. I remember receiving a text from Allie saying that someone saw you in a picture and he wanted to meet you, and asked if you wanted him to have your number. Initially, I thought it was kind of creepy, but then I thought “what do I have to loose, why not.” We started talking and eventually I agreed to go on a date with him.
Randy and I both say that it was the one on our first date. We were instantly so compatible and conversation felt so natural, it was like we have known each other for a long time. We have been together ever since. We drove up to Big Bear for our 1 year anniversary. We ate lunch, and then Randy initiated that we go take a walk along the lake. As we were walking, Randy got down on one knee and asked me to marry him, saying the most words and beautiful ring EVER!
Randy actually found Pine Rose on WeddingWire. We knew we wanted to have a mountain wedding, and as soon as we stepped on the grounds we both knew this was the place we were going to get married. I instantly got goosebumps all over my body and didn’t want to look at any other venues. We were going for a rustic romance theme. We knew we had such beautiful natural scenery, so we wanted to accent the beautiful trees with soft colors for a more romantic look.
When we signed our contract for the venue, there were several sample wedding albums on display. Whimsies Studios album caught my eye, and I knew I wanted them to photograph our wedding. I was attracted to the soft lighting and the natural poses that the photos contained. Our wedding day photoshoot experience was SO SMOOTH!!. She directed everyone in a timely manner, she made us laugh and was very engaging with everyone. She knew exactly what poses and gestures everyone needed to do. She was very kind to us (even her husband brought us drinks), and she spent extra time taking photos with us because the lighting was perfect.
Randy’s favorite part of the wedding day was the ceremony. He says he loved seeing me walk down the aisle while being surrounded by all our friends and family while our lives were coming together. My favorite part of the day was when Randy and I stepped off to the side alone and watched all our friends and family dance and have a good time together. It was such a surreal feeling that we were finally officially married and we were surrounded by much love and support.
We loved working with Sadi! Her personality made us feel at ease. She is so easy to talk to and relate to. She has a bubbly personality and made us feel very comfortable. We both suggest using Sadi with Whimsie Photographie!!!
