When I met Kerianne and Nick at the Hidden Creek Cabin for their wedding consultation I was so excited to learn that they are in the creative/film/production industry! Of course its a tiny bit intimidating but I am so honored and flattered that they loved my work enough to trust me with capturing their big day. I know its going to be so amazing and beautiful, and if its anything like their engagement photoshoot was it will be a blast. I drove out to the Parker hotel in Palm Springs where they were staying and met them for the session, and was completely thrilled to find out we were going to get to do the shoot on the property itself. If you have never been there definitely check it out, its one of the most beautiful hotels in Palm Springs, surrounded by lush gardens and pools and fun places to relax with a cocktail. We started the session by venturing through the gardens, Kerianne wore a fun bright yellow dress and fit in perfectly with the setting. I love when clients pick out beautiful outfits that coordinate perfectly with the location! After shooting in some of the most beautiful spots around the hotel Keri and Nick treated me to a cocktail out by the bocce ball and they played a few games before we switched outfits and shot some stunning sunset lighting shots. I think my favorite part of their session was the photos we took out front of the Parker on the awesome white wall. Check out their pics and leaves me love!
From the couple:
We met online. But for our first date we met for a drink and we ended up chatting for 5 hours. I have never felt so comfortable with or supported by anyone like I have with Nick. I woke up really early in the morning with coffee and 120 Red Roses. And then he had a perfect day planned. We went and had a day at the spa and then went out to an amazing dinner at Boa.
My family and I have been spending summers up in Lake Arrowhead since I was 9 years old. And I always wanted and outdoor wedding and Pine Rose Cabin is the perfect venue for that. When I kept looking at photos from our venue on Pinterest I realized all the photos I was drawn towards were taken by Sadi. I love what she does with light. There is a beautiful glow to her photos. So dreamlike.
We had so much fun. Nick and I were staying at the Parker– Which is one of our favorite places to get away to. It is a beautiful place and we thought it would be really special to have our photos there. The Engagement session we really fun. Sadi made us feel extremely comfortable. It was so fun and easy. I loved that she took so many pictures and in so many locations. And was open for anything!
What are you most looking forward to on the wedding day?
Marrying Nick!! And also celebrating with all our family and friends. To future brides getting married, Plan early and do a few tasks a month so it doesn’t get overwhelming.
