How cute are these two, seriously? We spent the afternoon out in Joshua tree, braving the wind, the cacti, and sipping champagne during their adorable desert inspired engagement session. I love their silliness and the way they look at each other, like there is no one else in the world. They are a true power couple and so fun to hang out with! We could have sat and chatted for hours over the outcome of GOT, the latest video game we were into, and so many other fun topics!
This year Nila and Ray are going to be tying the knot in what I am sure will be a romantic and beautiful wedding ceremony up at Pine Rose Cabins wedding venue and they have honored me with the opportunity to photograph it! I can’t wait to be a part of capturing more of their love story! Read all about their love story below and leave some love in the comments…
How did you meet?
We met on OkCupid. Our first date was at a sushi restaurant. We decided on this place because I told him about the awesome $1 sake bomb deals. Little did I know he hated sushi!
How did he propose?
Ray proposed on June 17, 2018 at the etiwanda wildlife preserve on the pretext that it was a “father’s day nature walk.” Little did I know, but he had our closest friends and family members hiding in a bush near the gazebo he proposed at, whom all popped out right when he was making his sweet speech.
How did you know he was the one?
After we first met, we remained friends for many years. After returning from the task force, we decided to meet up for drinks which rekindled our like for each other. That like grew into a love in a matter of a few months. I knew he was the one because I had never felt this deep of a connection with anyone else. He was someone I could be my total self around. From lounging around, to gaming, to ordering an ungodly amount of food and watching documentaries all day.
How did you find your venue?
Several years ago, I did my friend’s mom’s hair for their wedding and it was at Pine Rose. I immediately fell in love with the venue. I said to myself, “one day, I’m getting married here!” Many years passed and the time came when Ray and I were Venus shopping. Of course I needed to show him Pine Rose and he too fell in love with it. It was our dream venue. We knew it was the one.
What are you most excited for on your wedding day?
I (Nila) am so excited to celebrate with our family and friends. I cannot wait to see Ray as I’m walking down the aisle. I cannot wait to call Ray my husband. And of course I cannot wait to dance the night away with everyone! Ray: “I’m most excited about being married to, and spending the rest of my life with the woman that makes me feel loved and whole.”
