If you are planning a photoshoot, and it’s going to be in another state like Utah, why not make the treck out to an epic location like the Bonneville Salt Flats! We spent three days traveling up for Riley and Mitch’s engagement session and it was worth every mile in the car. When we got to the Salt flats they literally take your breath away. They are so massive and the cotton candy skies overhead gave this entire photoshoot such a whimsical feel. We had a blast running and dancing around with these two love birds. When you look at the salt flats they almost look like snow, and walking on the salt the day of the shoot it was wet and sloshy just like snow. We may have gotten a bit of salt in every nook and cranny, my backpack and legs were Covered, but it was so worth it! I am honored that Riley and Mitch chose us to capture their beautiful session and can’t wait for their wedding day next year! They are the sweetest couple and so kind and fun to hang out with! Kyle and I will have to make another trip to Utah soon for board games and coffee to visit!
We met at a game night in Provo, UT in March of 2019. It was very random that we both showed up because we had never hung out with either of the people that invited us. We played some games and Mitch played the guitar, he got my number, and we have been together every single day since then. After a few weeks of dating, we discovered that his cousin, Staley, had tried to set us up multiple times in the past three years but it was never the right time.
We talk all the time about how we knew pretty quickly that we were the ones for each other. We had such a deep connection to each other the very first night we met and as we spent more time together, it only continued to deepen. Mitch told me that he felt drawn to me and he just wanted to be near me. I felt the same way.
Mitch proposed up at the Sundance Mountain Resort right by the water. It was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. He could’ve proposed anywhere and I would have thought it was perfect but he went all out and then we had a picnic on the hill behind the pond. We chose our venue because it is gorgeous and we know our friends and family will be able to feel how much we love each other there.
We chose Whimsie Studios because we love their style of photography and videography. Again, we felt like Whimsie studios captures the love between two people and Mitch and I know that we will absolutely love our pictures. The engagement photoshoot was incredible. Sadi really knows what she’s doing, there is no doubt about that. She has a vision for a picture and she makes it happen very efficiently. We loved that we got to be ourselves and talk and kiss and then she captured our candid moments. We are so excited to share with all our friends and family how much we love each other on our wedding day. It will be perfect because we found our perfect match.
