One year ago today, Nila and Ray hosted one of the most beautiful weddings we have ever photographed at Pine Rose Cabins Hidden Creek Lodge. When we arrived I was completely blown away by her decor, the incredible florals accenting the site really tied it all together! Nila and Ray’s wedding style was romantic and elegant, with blush and mauve florals complimented with lots of greenery. Surrounded by the forest of Lake Arrowhead, the Hidden Creek Lodge site is one of the most popular venues up the mountain. The couple dance under the stars and strand after strand of romantic twinkle lights. It really is one of Southern California’s most beautiful places to get married.
We met at Sake Sake sushi in Upland, CA after connecting online in 2012. How did you know she/he was the one? It was a whole lot of little things that Nila did here and there, but what brought it all into perspective for me and made me realize that she was the one was a time that I did something extremely embarrassing in front of her family and she had my back through the whole ordeal. How did he propose? I proposed by planning a “fathers day hike” and dinner in 2018. We went to the top of the Etiwadna preserve hiking trail where I had our friends surprise Nila and I proposed to her. Why did you choose your venue? We chose Pine Rose Cabins for our wedding venue because we took a tour of the wedding area and absolutely fell in love with the wooded aesthetic. What was your floral inspiration? A combination of photos, blogs, and bringing them all together. What was the theme/colors/concept for your wedding? Dusty Rose Why did you choose Whimsie Studios to photograph your wedding day? After seeing Sadi’s work, we absolutely fell in love with the whole light and airy photos she takes. What was your wedding day photoshoot experience like? Absolutely perfect. More than words can describe. What was the highlight of your wedding day, the best part for each of you? For Ray, the best part of the day was when I said “I do” and walked my wife back up the aisle. For Nila, one of the best parts of the day was seeing his reaction during our first look.Sadi is so incredibly sweet and so funny and she knows how to work a crowd. She is so knowledged and has the perfect eye for this. venue: There’s absolutely nothing we would change about the venue and its workers. If we could have multiple weddings a year just to go through this again, we would. |
