Christina and Jason’s Fall family photoshoot in upper Yucaipa field of flowers
November 14, 2020
Only on friday the 13th would I expect the crazy events of tonight to occur! After having to reschedule their session a couple times we set the shoot up to today and last minute changed the location to something a bit closer of a drive. We headed up to Wildwood park in Yucaipa only to find the roads completely blocked on both sides due to an accident and no way for me to get to Yucaipa and no way for my clients to get up to where I was in Oak Glen! Since we had just over an hour until sunset we opted for plan B, to drive around to the opposite side of Yucaipa to El Dorado park and do the session there. Upon arrival we discovered that park too was shut down and we couldn’t even park in the lot! Cue panic mode for this sunlight loving photographer as I watched the minutes tick closer to sunset.
On the fly I saw this spot on the side of the road and called Christina to arrange for plan C, they met up with me there and we made some serious golden hour magic! Luckily with two grown kiddos it was easy to do in the short time frame we had and they absolutely rocked it as you can see! I started taking their family photos when Chloe and Noah were little and have had the pleasure of watching them grow up year after year! I shot Jason and Christina’s wedding a few years ago too up in Big Sur and now I got to capture their maternity session as they prepare to welcome a new baby into the family! It was such a special session and I am so glad we were able to make it happen after all the chaos! I think we found an even more perfect spot then I had originally planned and I am smitten over that golden sunset glow and those beautiful burnt orange fall flowers!
